Senior year is so much more stressful then Junior year, yet filled w/so many more memorable moments. At this time & point, I find myself, seemingly "stacked to the ceiling" w/work. I could have never fathomed this until now. With a combination of studying for SAT's, ACT's, involvement with the school play (staying after school & memorizing lines in spare time), senior portfolio's, college tours/expos, college research in general on top of regular school work, I can't seem to multitask as good as I want. More frequently am I finding myself going days at a time w/damn near restless nights & the longest days.
Today for example, I wake up @ 6:30, go to school until 3, stay after school until 7, study SAT work w/my parents until 9 something and still had more schoolwork left to do.
It'll all be over soon but I try to keep my mind focused on the prize, for my future will be heavily influenced by these next 3 months or so. Not one day goes by where I'm not thinking about college...no lie. I'm spending entire lunches in the Career Center researching just for the fuck of it. I surely can't wait to see how these upcoming months will unravel. Hopefully some positive will come from it.
On another note, I wanna congratulate my man Ronald Callendar for getting accepted to University of Hartford w/a $40,000 grant (real good school btw). I remember me, you, Tate & Spencer/Head used to chill hard as hell 8th grade year & now it seems we all are about to lead completely different lives. I just wish I wasn't so damn hard-headed & stayed on the right path like you. Either way, nothing but congrats to you brotha for making your dream a reality. Too bad hindsight is 20/20 *smh*
