D-Day: History as We Know It (11.3)

Just hours away from the most important day in our lifetime & (as expected) my anticipation level is sooo high.
I've never been the type to dwell too much in politics but 08 has caught my attention like no other election. Part of this is due to my age but I encourage more of my peers to become aware of the world around us. Being that we're approaching the end of our adolescence, everything will begin to directly affect us verrry soon for those who haven't already felt the sting of the economic recession.

From my observations, it appears we (United States as a whole) have a long way to go before we completely get beyond this whole race issue. It's a barrier of some sort and people have yet to think outside the box. I can say I support Sen. Barack Obama for more reasons then solely his race. For the ignorant people out there, he's isn't even fully black. He has a white mother, and STILL there are millions out there who won't vote for a black man for that exact reason.

Regardless of his plans for our country, they're still being narrow-minded. I'm late commenting on this but that whole 30 minute campaign Obama recently aired was pointless in my opinion because the vast majority of registered voters already know who they're voting for. Speaking of which, McCain supporters are theee worst. I haven't heard one common fucking sense reason people follow this man. I'm not implying that he has nothing good to bring to the table but the only reasons I hear people vote for him is because they don't want to vote for a black man or that Obama's a supposed "terrorist". That's idiotic, but I won't even elaborate on that too much.

I surely hope the people behind the polling don't cheat. For some, it sounds unlikely but you never know what can happen. If McCain wins fair & square then respect given but I hope to wake up hearing good news. Good luck Obama. I hope you win, not just because you're a black man, but because you're a leader, a hero & simply qualified to do this shit.
